THE GURU- Dattatreya
Dattatreya is considered an important deity and is regarded as an incarnation or manifestation of the Hindu trinity—Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. He is often depicted as a sage with three heads and six arms. The name "Dattatreya" is derived from the Sanskrit words "Datta" (given) and "Atreya" (son of the sage Atri), indicating that he was given birth by the sage Atri and his wife Anasuya. The origins of the worship of Dattatreya can be traced back to ancient texts like the Puranas and various other scriptures. His story is mentioned in different Hindu religious texts, including the "Guru Gita," the "Avadhuta Gita," and the "Dattatreya Upanishad." According to the hindu dhram shastra , Dattatreya is said to have received knowledge and wisdom from twenty-four gurus, which include both humans and elements of nature.
